Crude and oil product exports via port Primorsk down 13% to 33.26 mln t in HI’13
In January-June, 2013, export of crude and oil products via port Primorsk (Leningrad region) declined by 13%, year-on-year, to 33.26 mln t. According to the statistics of the port administration, oil transshipment lost 19% to 28.84 mln t while transshipment of diesel fuel increased 1.64 times to 4.42 mln t.
Commercial Seaport Primorsk is the largest port of the North West region of Russia in terms of oil and oil product export. It is the final stage of the Baltic Pipeline System (BPS) and main product pipelines Kstovo-Yaroslavl-Kirishi-Primorsk (Sever project) of AK Transnefteproduct OJSC. In 2012, the port’s throughput slightly declined to 74,768,700 tonnes against 75,124,900 tonnes in 2011.
