Tamanneftegas to ship first tanker with heavy fuel oil in late July 2013
Tamanneftegas OJSC (port Taman) plans to ship first tanker with 30,000 tonnes of heavy fuel oil in late July 2013. According to the Administration of Krasnodar Territory, this was announced by Vladimir Pestryakov, Executive Director of Tamanneftegas, during the visit RF President’s Advisor Igor Levitin and the Territory Governor Aleksandr Tkachev to the port. He also said that design capacity of Tamanneftegas 3.5 mln t of heavy fuel oil and 1 mln t of gas.
Transshipment of crude, oil products and gas commenced here a year ago and the terminal has already reached its oil capacity of 6 mln t per year. Mishel Litvak, Director General of Tamanneftegas, announced that maximum daily unloading of incoming oil is over 7 trains, 72 wagons each.
Joint-Stock Company Tamanneftegas is the operator of the Taman transshipment complex of liquefied hydrocarbon gas (LPG), crude oil and oil products at the Taman Peninsula near Cape Zhelezny Rog (Krasnodar region). In 2012, the company handled 1.441 mln t of cargo. All in all, it loaded 30 tankers.
