Cargo volume of Vladivostok Fishing Port grows 14.5% in H1 2013
Cargo throughput at Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port (Vladmorrybport) in January-June 2013 rose year-on-year 14.5% to 1.5 million tonnes, the stevedoring company said.
Six-month volume of bulk cargo soared by 38.8% on H1 2013 figures, to 678,700 tonnes.
In the reporting period, handling of fish products also increased by 11.2% to 59,400 tonnes.
Shipments of containerized cargo totaled 71,024 TEUs, an increase of 4.8% over the same period of 2012.
In January – June the port’s terminal handled 17,324 imported cars and 379 cargo ships.
OJSC Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port operates a universal transshipment complex based on the southern shore of Zolotoy Rog Bay. The port has 2-km-long waterfront with 10 berths, 9 km of harbor rail tracks, and three locomotives. All that enables the stevedore to work around the clock for unloading / loading of different cargoes, handling up to 71 railcars a day.
