MOL announces organizational changes for the Transpacific trade
MOL has announced the following organizational changes which will take effect in August 2013. These changes will further build the MOL organization as one that customers and employees can continue to count on, said in the company's press release.
Mr. Calvin Duffaut, assistant vice president, yield management & corporate communications for MOL (America) Inc. has been promoted to vice president, yield management of MOL Liner and will relocate to Hong Kong. Duffaut joined MOL in 2007 after many years of management experience in trade management, pricing and logistics with Pacer Stacktrain Ltd., American President Lines, and Lykes Bros. Steamship Inc. Duffaut holds an undergraduate degree from Yale University. He will report to Mr. Jotaro Tamura, senior vice president, liner yield management, equipment management and network operation.
Mr. Toshihiko Sato, senior manager, Transpacific trade will relocate to Hong Kong in support of the Transpacific Trade management migration to MOL Liner. Sato joined MOL in 2000 and has held positions in equipment management and sales. Sato is a graduate of Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo with a bachelor of arts degree in social sciences. He will report to Mr. Rich Hiller, executive vice president of MOL Liner.
Additionally, MOL (America) Inc. will change some Transpacific trade management assignments as follows:
Mr. Tom Smart, currently the assistant vice president, Transpacific export trade management, will become the assistant vice president, Transpacific trade pricing. Smart joined MOL in 2002 as a regional sales manager and served in the export trade management role since 2009. Smart holds a bachelor of science in business administration, operations management from Villanova University.
Mr. Lincoln Pei, currently the assistant vice president, refrigerated services, will become the assistant vice president, Transpacific westbound trade management. Pei joined MOL in 1993 and has held positions in alliance & network planning, equipment control, rail, sales, trade management and yield management. Pei is a graduate of University of California-Irvine with a bachelor’s in psychology.
Mr. Jim Boyer, currently the assistant vice president, Transpacific trade pricing, will become the assistant vice president, for refrigerated services. Boyer joined MOL in 1992 and has held various positions in front line sales, district sales management, regional sales management and regional customer service management. Boyer is a graduate of LaSalle University with a bachelor of science degree in management and marketing.
Smart, Pei, and Boyer will each report to Mr. Tsunemichi Mukai, vice president, Transpacific, Caribbean & Latin trade management.
