Throughput of Tallinna Sadam (Estonia) down 6% to 14.3 mln t in HI’13
In January-June 2013, stevedoring company of the port of Tallinn, Tallinna Sadam (Estonia) handled 14.3 mln t of cargo (-6%, year-on-year), the company states.
In the half-year period, the company serviced 4.2 mln passengers (+4%). The port registered 3,447 calls including 1,001 calls of cargo vessels and 2,446 calls of passenger ships. According to preliminary estimations, operating income of Tallinna Sadam made EUR 55 mln in HI’13.
In June, the port’s throughput gained 14%, to 2.33 mln t. Passenger traffic climbed by 6% to 970,000 passengers.
AS Tallinna Sadam is a stevedoring company at the port of Tallinn. It was incorporated in 1996. The company’s only stakeholder is the Republic of Estonia. In 2012, the company’s throughput fell by 19% to 29.5 mln tonnes. The company’s net profit dropped by 10% to EUR 32.8 mln.
