United Shipbuilding Corporation presents Amur submarines, frigates and corvettes at IMDS-2013
At the International Maritime Defence Show (IMDS-2013) the United Shipbuilding Corporation OJSC presents submarines Amur 1650 and Amur 950 where the latest technological solutions have been applied, IAA PortNews reporter cites USC Vice-President Sergey Farafonov as telling the journalists. He says, off-shore maritime zone frigates and nearzone corvettes are also showcased at IMDS-2013.
USC exposition is the largest at the Show. It presents 15 companies of the Corporation.
United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC OJSC) is the largest shipbuilding company in Russia. It was set up in 2007 with 100% federal ownership. The holding comprises 60 companies and organizations (major shipbuilding and shiprepairing companies as well as leading design bureaus). Currently, OSK consolidates about 80% of the domestic shipbuilding complex. The Russian market is the main focus of the state corporation though it also exports its products to 20 countries worldwide.
