Singapore bunker prices slide to new low
Singapore IFO380 bunker prices on Monday, July 1st, continued to ignore the gains made in the crude markets, and slid to a new low for the year of $584.00 per metric tonne (pmt), $4.00 lower than the price on Friday, data from Ship & Bunker shows.
The product's price has fallen $24.50 pmt since the start of the year, but rising prices at the start of 2013 saw the benchmark grade hit a high of $663.50 pmt on February 13, putting the spread for the first 6 months of the year at $79.50.
Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) was unchanged today at $653.50 pmt, $11.50 higher than the current low for 2013 of $642.00 set on April 23, but the Emissions Control Area compliant product is down $55.50 over the last two weeks.
MGO prices in Singapore fell today, down $4.50 to $887.00 pmt ending a four day rally at the end of last week, but are up $7.00 week-on-week.
