Week-long campaign against flags of convenience starts at Russian Far East
From July 1, 2013, Week-long campaign against flags of convenience started at Russian Far East. The campaign will last till July 1 and will involve the ports of Vladivostok, Nakhodka and many other ports of the Asia-Pacific region, says press center of Seafarers' Union of Russia.
Apart from the inspection of seafarers’ labour and living conditions, a special focus will be on compliance with ILO Maritime Labour Convention of 2006 and ship owners’ readiness to its entry into force from August 20, 2013.
