Cargo loading of Russian Railways down 3.7% to 605.6 mln t in HI’13
In the first half of 2013, Russian Railways OJSC loaded 605.6 mln t of cargo (-3.7%, year-on-year), the company’s release says.
In the accounting period, Russian Railways loaded 152.1 mln t of coal mln t (+0.8%, year-on-year), 5.8 mln t of coke (-10.1%), 124.8 mln t of crude and oil products (-3%), 54.4 mln t of iron and manganese ore (+0.9%), 35.4 mln t of ferrous metal (-5.9%), 7.6 mln t of scrap ferrous metal (-9.6%), 23.3 mln t of chemical and mineral fertilizers (+0.5%), 16.7 mln t of cement (-1.1%), 8 mln t of timber cargo (-5.7%), 4.4 mln t of grain (-51.8%), 82.4 mln t of construction cargo (-5.1%), 10.1 mln t of nonferrous metal ores and raw sulphur (-11%), 13.5 mln t of chemicals and soda (-4.7%); 15.8 mln t of industrial commodities and molding materials (-5.9%).
From the beginning of the year, cargo turnover reached 1 trillion 70.3 bln tonne-km (-3%). Cargo turnover including empty wagons run — 1 trillion 371.3 bln tonne-km ( 2.2%).
In June the company loaded 103.6 mln t of cargo (-2.8%, year-on-year).
In June, cargo turnover fell by 0.7%, year-on-year, to 177.1 bln tonne-km bln; Cargo turnover including empty wagons run climbed by 2.3% to 227.1 bln tonne-km.
