New highway to link Nakhodka and Vladivostok by 2017
A new highway between Nakhodka and Vladivostok will appear in Primorsk Territory by 2017, says press center of Nakhodka Administration.
As of today, tender documentation is being elaborated for the competition to select contractors for several sections. The first section links the airport with the junction near Olenje settlement. Then the highway is to run till the junction for Samora, then to the left across the Artemovka river, costwise, till Vladivostok-Nakhodka highway before Bolshoi Kamen. The last section will be a four-lane road.
The construction of highways in Primorsk Territory, including Vladivostok-Nakhodka, Vladivostok-Ussurijsk and Ussurijsk-Pogranichny is foreseen by the state programme on the development of transit transportation in Russia.
It should be noted that the route between Vladivostok and Nakhodka runs via the following settlements: Fokino, SHkotove, Artem and Uglovoje.
