Trials of new light-optical equipment commenced at Azov-Don Sea Canal (photo)
The Azov Basin Branch began field trials of a light-optical energy station together with its manufacturer, FSUE Rosmorport says in its release. The station was installed for the summer navigation 2013 on one of the active navigational gate signs located at the Azov-Don Sea Canal.
The station consists of a sun photovoltaic module, accumulator, charge controller and a hermetic container to fit up equipment.
The use of the sun energy should considerably increase the power source life, and ensure stable work of the navigational sign separate circuits.
