RF Navy is 6th in list of global naval powers
Russian Navy is the sixth in the list of global naval powers made by the American analytical agency Global firepower (GFP). In terms of total strength of naval power China is the first (972 vessels), then comes North Korea (708), Thailand (596), Iran (408), USA (290) and Russia (224).
According to the agency, RF Naval power consists of 1 aircraft carrier, 5 frigates, 18 destroyers, 72 corvettes, 58 submarines, 60 coastal crafts, 34 mine warfare and 22 amphibious assault vessels.
In the total list of countries ranked by military strength according to comprehensive and qualitative characteristics, Russia is the second after the USA.
