The President of the Dominican Republic inaugurates the country's first logistics centre
The President of the Dominican Republic, HE Danilo Medina, has inaugurated the start of construction of the first logistics centre in the Dominican Republic, "Caucedo Logistics Center" , a joint venture between DP World and the Caucedo Development Corporation, said in the DP World's press release.
With a prime location between Port Caucedo and Las Americas International Airport , Caucedo Logistic s Center (CLC) will provide regional distribution facilities for foreign and Dominican business es connecting them to a comprehensive , efficient, logistics multimo dal network provided by the Port of Caucedo.
Phase 1 will see the development of warehousing over 40 hectares in the next three to five years, with a further 80 hectares developed in Phase 2. Timing will be in line with market demand. Th e groundbreaking marked the start of construction work, with the first warehouse due for completion in the firs t quarter next year.
