Through traffic restored at Volga-Don Ship Canal (photo)
The repair of the right wing of the downstream leaf at the gate No 13 of the Volga-Don Ship Canal was completed on June 21, 2013 at 03:00, Moscow time. According to the press center of Rosmorrechflot, the through traffic along the canal has been restored.
As it was reported earlier, the defect was detected on June 18, 2013, in the course of the routine underwater inspection of the gate’s downstream leaf.
