Throughput of Latvian ports down 8.1% to 31.27 mln t Jan-May’13
In January-May, 2013, the ports of Latvia handled 31.27 mln t of cargo (-8.1%, year-on-year), says press center of Latvian Ministry of Transport and Communications.
Throughput of Riga port lost 8.8%, year-on-year, to 14.3 mln t, Ventspils – down 3.4% to 14.2 mln t, Liepaja – down 28.9% to 2.07 mln t. In the accounting period, transshipment of dry loose cargo totaled 14.6 mln t, liquid bulk cargo – 11.7 mln t, general cargo – 4.9 mln t.
