Repeated test mooring held at Sibur terminal in Ust-Luga port (photo report)
The second gas carrier has undergone test mooring at the new terminal of Sibur in Ust-Luga port. As IAA PortNews leant from St. Petersburg branch of Rosnefteflot CJSC, tanker Knesworth (flag of Singapore, 7,891 tonnes, agent - Infotech Baltica CJSC) was moored in the morning, on June 17, at the berth 59КСУГ.
As IAA PortNews learnt from Ust-Luga port’s source familiar with the matter, the gas carrier will stay in the port till June 19, 2013. The inauguration of another gas handling terminal built by NOVATEK is scheduled for this date. RF Transport Minister Maksim Sokolov, Leningrad Region Governor Aleksandr Drozdenko and Gunvor container-owner Gennagy Timchenko are expected to participate.
SIBUR is building Ust-Luga LPG transshipment facility, Russia’s largest terminal for transshipment of liquefied petroleum gases with annual capacity of up to 1.5 mln t of LPG and up to 2.5 mln t of light oil products. The construction began in the second quarter of 2012.
