Parade of Sail in Saint-Petersburg
The Parade of Sail has taken place today, June 14, in the water area of the Neva river in Saint-Petersburg. It involved the fleet of the Baltic Regatta Ust-Luga Cup. IAA PortNews reporter observed the Parade from the board of the yacht Seventh Wave, vice-champion of Ust-Luga Cup.
When summarizing the results of Ust-Luga Cup, Aleksandr Aliyev, representative of Rosterminalugol (General Sponsor of the regatta), said that the team which had won the previous race performed properly at this championship as well with its honorable second place.
The waves and the sportsmanlike attitude made the management of Rosterminalugol think about continuing sport traditions among the company’s personnel.
According to Aleksandr Aliyev, Rosterminalugol is set to consider the attraction of more company members to yachting.
“That would let us improve the skills of the regatta participants and train more potential team members, thus facilitating effective competition with other contestants of Ust-Luga Cup, which is a traditional regatta now,” Aliyev explained.
