2.8 mln tonnes of Azerbaijani oil transported via BTC in May 2013
2 mln 865 thousand 14 tonnes of Azerbaijani oil was transported via BTC main export pipeline in May 2013, SOCAR says.
During January-May of the current year, the volume of the exported oil from this pipeline totaled 12 mln 636 thousand 425 tonnes. In general, 218 mln 263 thousand 150 tonnes of oil has been pumped to BTC since the start of pipeline exploitation until June 1, 2013.
In addition, 279 thousand 989 tonnes of Turkmen oil was pumped via BTC in May 2013 .
The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) is involved in exploring oil and gas fields, producing, processing, and transporting oil, gas, and gas condensate, marketing petroleum and petrochemical products in domestic and international markets, and supplying natural gas to industry and the public in Azerbaijan.
