Shell JV lifts force majeure on gas supplies to Nigeria
The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Ltd Joint Venture (SPDC JV) has lifted the force majeure on gas supplies to NLNG, effective 10 June 2013, said in the company's press release.
The force majeure was declared on 15th May 2013 due to a leak on the Eastern Gas Gathering System (EGGS-1) pipeline. The Joint Investigation Visit to the location of the leak showed that the leak was caused by sabotage.
Some 240 kboe/d of SPDC JV (100%) production was deferred over the shut-in period. SPDC has now repaired the line and resumed gas production.
