Construction of Western High-Speed Diameter underway at Kanonersky island (St. Petersburg)
The construction of the pile foundation for support 4-16 at Kanonersky island has been commenced within the framework of the project on building Western High-Speed Diameter, Northern Capital Highway LLC says.
The general contractor, Astaldi Ictas (joint venture of Turkey's İçtaş İnşaat Sanayi Ticaret and Italy's Astaldi consortium), plan to complete the work by the end of June 2013.
Northern Capital Highway LLC was founded on March 14, 2011. It is a consortium executing the agreement between St. Petersburg and ZSD OJSC on the construction and maintenance of a toll motorway Western High-Speed Diameter under the principle of private-public partnership. Nothern Capital will manage and collect fees on the road for 30 years.
Northern Capital Highway LLC is a venture made up of VTB Capital, Gazprombank, Astaldi SpA (Astrakhan, Italy), IC Ictas Insaat (Turkey), and Mega Yapi Insaat ve Ticaret Ltd.
