Dr. Khaled Almazroui named CEO of Abu Dhabi Ship Building
Dr. Khaled Almazroui has been appointed as CEO of Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB), the Company said Monday in a press release.
The Company expects that Dr. Almazroui who had been previously General Manager of Fujairah International Airport will bring extensive expertise in driving strategic business growth, and will be working with the existing management team of ADSB to drive further success across naval and commercial shipbuilding in the UAE.
Commenting upon the appointment, Homaid Al Shemmari, Chairman of ADSB, stated: “Khaled’s knowledge, experience and proven leadership will ensure that Abu Dhabi Shipping Building maintains its growth trajectory, further expands upon our committed relationship with the UAE Navy and other naval forces in the GCC, as well as expanding the company's participation in the areas of construction and maintenance of commercial vessels.”
Almazroui, a UAE National, has held a number of high profile roles and driven sustainable business expansion across the Emirates’ transport sector. He was formerly Chairman of the Gulf Airport Services Association and has worked at Fujairah International Airport for over ten years. He was also the Founding President of the Green Aviation and Logistics Group, an environmental body based in the UAE, aimed at driving green initiatives across the aviation, transport and logistics industry. He also lectures on a part-time basis, the Business and Marketing Courses at different Universities in the UAE.
A graduate from St. Louis University, Missouri, he attained two Masters Degrees from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Florida and a Doctorate from the University of Lincoln, UK.
