Throughput of Aktau International Sea Commercial Port (Kazakhstan) down 10.6% to 4.157 mln t Jan-May’13
In January-May 2013, Aktau International Sea Commercial Port handled 4,157,000 tonnes of dry and oil cargo (-10.6%, year-on-year), the company says.
In the reported period the Port handled 2,968,400 tonnes of crude and oil products, 1,188,500 tonnes of dry cargo including 299,300 tonnes of metal products, 255,200 tonnes of other cargo, 193,000 tonnes of grain, 441,000 tonnes of ferry cargo. The number of ship calls reached 692 from the year beginning.
In May, the company handled 649,000 tones of cargo including 409,000 tonnes of oil cargo, 49,000 tonnes of metal products; 93,000 tonnes of ferry cargo; 17,000 tonnes of grain; 81,000 tonnes of other cargo. 122 vessels called on the port in May.
The Republican State Enterprise "Aktau International Sea Commercial Port" operates in the port of Aktau situated on the eastern coast of the Caspian sea, the only sea port of the Republic of Kazakhstan aimed for international shipping of different dry cargos, crude oil and oil products.
