Rosterminalugol ups unloading of coal wagons by 6.4% to 20,065 units in May’13
In May, 2013, OJSC Rosterminalugol unloaded 20,065 coal wagons (+6.4%, year-on-year). According to the company’s press release, it is a record-breaking monthly result today. The former record – 18,851 wagons – was achieved in May 2012.
OJSC Rosterminalugol was established in 1996 to build and operate the coal terminal at Ust-Luga commercial seaport. The terminal’s design annual capacity is 12 million tonnes of coal. Rosterminalugol specializes in loading / unloading operations, freight forwarding services, building and maintenance of facilities at the coal terminal in the Luga Bay of the Gulf of Finland. The terminal has two berths of total length of 540 meters and depth of 14 meters. The terminal is able to accommodate 240-m-long, 32.2-m-wide vessels. In 2012, coal exports via the terminal gained 26%, year-over-year, to 13.76 million tonnes.
