PortNews editor stands godmother to patrol boat built by Laky Verf
Laky Verf LLC (Leningrad region) has held a ceremony of launching the forth serial patrol boat today, IAA PortNews journalist says. The boat named Patrulny-14 is intended for controlling and supervising safe navigation at inland and coastal water ways by GosMorRechNadzor inspectors, the shipyard’s press release says. Upon the test completion the boat will be delivered to the customer. The vessel will be registered in Moscow.
According to Aleksandr Yashkin, deputy head of GosMorRechNadzor Central Administration, this boat is “the best of all vessels delivered to us earlier. We replace our vessels of project Yaroslavl with Laky Verf boats which is to have a positive impact on patrolling of waterways and implementing of tasks ensuring safe navigation of vessels.”
As Dmitry Atlahkin, head of GosMorRechNadzor North West Administration, said at the ceremony, “the boat is a technically modern vessel, safe and convenient for supervision and state service purposes. The lead vessel of the series has already participated in rescue operations. The boat provides comfortable conditions for GosMorRechNadzor inspectors and the crew. She is equipped with all necessary means of navigation and communication.”
This river-sea class boat can patrol the waters of the coastal and marine areas, and estuaries of major rivers .
There are 2 cabins which can accommodate up to 5 passengers at night and up to 10 passengers in daytime.
The construction was supervised by the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping. Cruising range with the total fuel capacity will be 450 nautical miles. The boat’s seaworthiness ensures safe operation with wind of up to 12 m/s and waves of up to 2.0 m at reduced-speed operation.
The boat was launched in compliance with Russian naval traditions with IAA PortNews editor Margarita Babkova as godmother.
From 2011 till the end of 2012 the shipyard built and delivered to customers 9 vessels of project 13М. The project of multipurpose high-speed boats of 14М project is an improved continuation of 13М project developed by Laky Verf design department. The hull was extended by 1 meter allowing for the project revision. The new project has a tented 12 - sq. m aft ground, sliding door behind the navigator’s chair for a pass-through linking the two sides of the boat. The capacity of the fuel tank is raised to 1,500 l. The boat has an additional operating station at the observation platform for manoeuvring under conditions of limited visibility.
Laky Verf LLC, having entered the market in 2005 with the concept "high quality building of custom-made luxury yachts”, continues developing and launching new projects. In 2010, the company decided to сreate a greater variety of products including specialized vessels.
