Russian Railways deems it expedient to arrange regular high-speed container traffic
Russian Railways OJSC deems it expedient to arrange regular container traffic at high-speed railway lines. According to the records of the meeting on developing high-speed railways (chaired by RF President Vladimir Putin), this was announced by Russian Railways President Vladimir Yakunin.
“Organization of regular container traffic at high-speed lines will make it possible to improve efficiency of the sector in general,” the head of the railway company said.
He noted, that high-speed traffic means the speed ranging between 200 and 400 km/h.
