Commercial Port of Vladivostok increases vehicle handling volumes
In January-April 2013 Commercial Port of Vladivostok handled 28,909 cars and heavy-duty vehicles, representing 26% increase compared with the corresponding period of 2012, the company says in press release.
With demand for new import cars and heavy-duty vehicles being grown and distribution networks in Siberia and the RFE being increased, Commercial Port of Vladivostok sets to boost vehicle handling volumes by putting into operation the additional storage areas complying with the requirements of world's automobile industry leaders that will result in providing high-quality services for cargo owners.
The port's marketing strategy envisages the attraction of new partners as well. Thus, for the first time the port handled 9 Kato- and Sany-branded heavy-duty vehicles which are just entering the Russian market. These companies intend to effectively develop their business in Russia and further actively cooperate with Commercial Port of Vladivostok.
Commercial Port of Vladivostok is capable to handle up to 150,000 auto units per annum. Currently the port is servicing 4 Ro-Ro shipping lines, namely FESCO Ro-Ro Line, Eastern Car Liner, SIEM CAR CARRIERS, FESCO Russian Pacific Line, which connect the port with the ports of Japan, the USA, South Korea and China.
