COSL Drilling Europe AS ranks first in Statoil’s rating of oil drilling contractors
COSL Drilling Europe AS (“CDE”) has ranked first in an overall rating of thirteen oil drilling contractors done by Statoil ASA, during the period from September of 2012 to March of 2013, said in the company's press release.
The oil drilling contractors have been rated in terms of operation safety, comprehensiveness of facilities, and effectiveness and performance of operations during the seven months and have been ranked by an average score of the indicators. Meanwhile, COSLPioneer and COSLInnovator have ranked first and sixth respectively in the category of semi-submersible rigs, which was one of the 34 indicators of Statoil's rating. COSLPromoter did not enter the rating because it had only been in operation for a short while.
Presently, CDE is operating three semi-submersible rigs and two accommodation rigs. The honour of being ranked first on the oil drilling contractor rating reflects CDE's excellence in managing and operating drilling rigs, and enhances the company's brand in the market of the North Sea.
