Container throughput of Neva-Metal up 7.1% to over 18,000 TEUs in Jan-Apr’13
In January-April, 2013, container throughput of Neva-Metal CJSC (stevedoring company of Severstal OJSC) 18,000 TEUs (+7.1%, year-on-year), the company’s statistics says.
Container turnover accounts for 24% of all cargoes handled in January-April 2013.
In the accounting period, Neva-Metal handled over 600,000 tonnes of ferrous metal of Cherepovets Steel Mill (part of Severstal Russian Steel division). It makes some 65% of all handled cargo. This result is similar to that of January-April, 2012.
Shipment of dry bulk and loose cargo made 47,000 tonnes (5% of total volume). The share of general cargo (packaged goods) made 6% - some 53,000 tonnes.
Total 4-month cargo turnover of Neva-Metal was 950,000 tonnes of different cargoes.
