Anchorage of third storage tanker starts near Kronshtadt (port Saint-Petersburg)
On May 14, tugboats of Port Fleet CJSC commenced placing storage tanker NS Captain (capacity of 57,200 tonnes, Liberian flag) at anchorage 5A of Big Port St. Petersburg (near Kronshtadt). As IAA PortNews learnt from the tugboat company, the operation involved tugboats Evgeny Kocheshkov, Leonid Bochkov and Petergof.
Operator of the off-harbor transshipment complex comprising this tanker is In-Transit CJSC.
As IAA PortNews reported earlier, two storage tankers, NS Burgas and Hrvatska (Infotech Baltica CJSC), had already been placed at the anchorage of Big Port St. Petersburg.
In summer navigation 2013, the three storage tankers will be used for export transshipment of Russian oil products produced by Nizhnekamsk refinery, by LUKOIL and TAIF plants.
In summer navigation 2012, four storage tankers were placed at the roads of Big Port St. Petersburg for export transshipment of oil products.
