Throughput of port Vostochny up 19.9% to 15.8 mln t in Jan-Apr’13
In January-April, 2013, port Vostochny handled 15.8 mln t of cargo (+19.9%, year-on-year), says press center of the Association of Commercial Sea Ports.
Vostochny port's cargo handling facilities are located in the southern part of the Primorsky Krai, in the ice-free deepwater natural bay of Vrangel. Vostochny port LLC is the largest stevedoring company in Russia. It specializes mainly in transshipment of coal. In 2012, the port increased its throughput by 10.9% to 42.5 mln t, ACSP says.
