Net loss of Northern Shipping Company (Arkhangelsk) down 20% to RUB 121.2 mln
In the first quarter of 2013, net loss of Northern Shipping Company OJSC (NSC, Arkhangelsk) calculated under Russian accounting standards decreased by 20%, year-on-year, to RUB 121.242 mln. According to the company materials, the quarter sales revenue of the company fell by 12.2% to RUB 484.094 mln.
Northern Shipping Company OJSC specializes in maritime transportation all around the world, including the Northern Sea Route. NSC fleet comprises multi-purpose dry cargo carriers with deadweight ranging between 2,500 -14,000 tonnes carrying all types of dry cargo including radioactive and hazardous cargoes. Total deadweight of NSC fleet is 125,100 tonnes. The company fleet numbers 41 different vessels. Ice-class vessels enable the company to operate in regions with difficult ice conditions.
