EVRAZ NCSP acquires 2 Liebherr loaders for RUB 12 mln (photo)
EVRAZ Nakhodka Commercial Sea Port OJSC has acquired 2 bucket loaders L 556 from German company Liebherr. According to EVRAZ NCSP press center, the equipment has already been delivered to the company. RUB 12 mln was allocated for the purchase.
Front loaders with 4.5 cubic meter buckets will be used at the production and handling complex No 4 (PPK-4), and, if necessary, at PPK-5, for operations with loose cargoes. In view of the increased transshipment of export coal in the port, the existing capacities are being converted into coal handling facilities. Besides, with the purpose to improve environmental performance and boosting transshipment productivity, the company is implementing an investment project on construction of a state-of-the-art coal complex with a wagon dumper.
EVRAZ Nakhodka Commercial Sea Port is a major stevedore company operating at the largest Russia’s Far Eastern Port of Nakhodka, located in the eastern Gulf of Peter the Great, in Nakhodka Bay. The port is linked to the Eurasian continent through the Trans-Siberian Railway, serving the Asia-Europe-Asia trade flows. The port is able to handle up to 450 rail cars a day. Warehousing facilities area is 300,000 m2. JSC EVRAZ NCSP operates on 15 cargo berths and one facility for handling the port’s workboats, of total length of 3.5 km, which can accommodate ships with length of 230m, breadth of 32m and draft of 11 m. Currently, at least 15 ships are able dock at the port’s berths simultaneously and the port is able to handle more than 1,500 large vessels a year.
