RF state expertise endorses Rosmorport’s shipboard waste treatment facilities at Ust-Luga port
North West Basin Branch of FSUE Rosmorport has obtained a positive conclusion of RF State Environmental Expertise Committee and Sanitary-Epidemiological Conclusion Certificate for its activities on collecting, deactivating and disposal of I-IV class waste at Ust-Luga port (Leningrad region), IAA PortNews learnt from Rosmorport. The conclusion is valid for 3 years.
The document relates to the complex for shipboard waste treatment at Ust-Luga port. The complex comprises a comprehensive waste treatment vessel (SKPO-3, gross tonnage – 3,294 tonnes), bilge water removing ship Krakovets, incinerating facility and trucks for waste transportation.
The complex is to be located at two sites – fishing port area and supporting fleet base of Commercial Sea Port of Ust-Luga. Sewage sanitation is to be carried out at wastewater treatment facility of Ust-Luga fish factory OJSC.
Total expenses for nature protection purposes make RUB 27,395.43.
