Throughput of Port of Helsinki down 5% to 3.2 mln t in Jan-Apr’13
In January-April 2013, the Port of Helsinki handled 3.2 mln t of cargo (-5%, year-on-year), press center of the port authority informs. Import fell by 10%, export remained at the last year level. April throughput made 800,000 tonnes (-2%).
In April the port serviced 800,000 passengers, in January-April – 2.9 mln passengers.
The Port of Helsinki is one of the largest ports in Finland, the largest passenger port and the third largest in the Baltic Sea. The port accounts for 77% of passenger traffic in Finland.
