Acceptance commission completes inspection of Prirazlomnaya platform’s first phase
The acceptance commission comprising the representatives of Gazprom Neft Shelf, Gazprom Bezopasnost, Gazprom Gaznadzor, Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision etc. has completed its work at the offshore ice-resistant fixed platform Prirazlomnaya in the Pechora Sea, Sevmash press center informs.
The commission inspected several systems of the first phase including the emergency shutdown system. Gas suppression system successfully passed the test.
Prirazlomnoye field discovered in 1989 is located 60 km from the coast at the depth of 19-20 m. Its resources are estimated at 72 mln t of oil. The license for exploration and extraction belongs to Gazprom Neft Shelf LLC (Gazprom subsidiary).
Offshore ice-resistant fixed platform Prirazlomnaya, the first platform of this type, was built by Sevmash. Apart from this platform Prirazlomnoye development will involve the marine transport-technological system comprising tankers, supply vessels and floating oil tank farm.
