Multipurpose boat Bora is put into operation (photo)
The FSUE Rosmorport Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch has put into operation the Bora MPB 14 boat constructed at the Moscow Shipyard by the order of the enterprise, Rosmorport says in its press release.
This multi-purpose boat will be used by the FSUE Rosmorport Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch for - delivery of crew members and state committees representatives to vessels laying off in Novorossiysk Seaport; transportation of pilots to/from vessels, and also provision of pilotage assistance to vessels heading to Novorossiysk Seaport; quick and efficient inspection of navigational ways at the approaches to Novorossiysk Seaport; transportation of cargo weighing not more than 500 kilos, and as a crew boat for other purposes.
The multi-purpose boat of project МРВ14 is a state-of-the-art, powerful, efficient, fast and highly maneuverable boat, which is a combination of modern design solutions and innovative shipbuilding technologies. The boat is equipped with advanced Volvo Penta IPS 450 propulsion system. It is equipped with dynamic positioning system. Against other vessels of this class, IPS systems adds 20% to maximum speed and 15% to runway speed with saving up to 30% of fuel.
