Four Asian carriers to launch new WCSA service
COSCO Container Lines (COSCON), Evergreen Line, PIL and Wan Hai Line will commence a new West Coast of South America weekly service in this coming 4th of May linking Asia main ports and main ports of WCSA to be called the ASIA - SOUTH AMERICA SERVICE (WSA2), COSCON said in its press release.
This additional service is in response to the booming Asia / S. America market.
This weekly service will cover the following ports: Kaohsiung, Shekou, Hong Kong, Ningbo, Shanghai, Manzanillo, Lazaro Cardenas, Puerto Quetzal, Buenaventura, Callao, Guayaquil, and back to Kaohsiung.
The WSA2 service will initially deploy nine panamax vessels by COSCON, Evergreen Line, PIL and Wan Hai Line vessels. Round trip time will be 63 days.
The service will start from May 4th, 2013 from Kaohsiung.
