First phase of grain terminal opens at Odessa Commercial Sea Port (Ukraine)
On April 13, 2013, the first phase of the grain terminal (11 reservoirs for 72,400 tonnes) opened at Androsovsky mole of Odessa Commercial Sea Port, informs press center of Ukraine’s Ministry of Infrastructure.
According to Yury Gubankov, Director General of Brooklyn-Kiev (project co-investor), the terminal is to become operational this year.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Chairman of Odessa Region state administration Eduard Matvijchuk, Acting Head of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority Yuriy Vaskov, representatives of foreign and national business structures, regional stevedoring companies.
The grain terminal is being built by Odessa port and Brooklyn-Kiev company on a financial parity basis. Experts say the terminal capable of storing 240,000 tonnes of grain with annual capacity of 2-3 mln t will be one of the most advanced terminals at the Black Sea.
