NCSP accepts 21 units of handling equipment
In the first quarter of 2013, Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port accepted 21 units of handling equipment, NCSP press center informs.
Within the framework of the project on modernization of the company’s handling equipment NCSP OJSC accepted eight loaders TOYOTA 62-FDF 25 with the capacity of 2.5 tonnes for transshipment of aluminum, copper and cellulose; two caterpillar bucket loaders LIEBHERR LR 614 for sugar handling in the holds; seven marine tractors TERBERG RT223 for handling any type of cargo as well as a fork loader KALMAR DCF-330-12 LB with the capacity of 33 tonnes and 2 reach-stackers KALMAR DRF-450-65 S5X with the capacity of 45 tonnes for container handling.
40-tonne portal crane Aist being installed at the Eastern pier also joined the company’s fleet of equipment in the first quarter of the year. It is dedicated for handling wagons, iron ore raw materials and concentrate.
Besides, in the nearest future the delivery of 63-tonne portal crane Vityaz will be completed and it will be installed at the Shiroky pier No 2 for unloading of slabs, steel coils and rolled metal products.
“We continue modernization of our handling equipment fleet within the framework of the NCSP Group’s development strategy. Replacement of the equipment with the state-of-the-art multipurpose equipment will be implemented stage-by-stage over a number of years. The new equipment meeting all global standards will let us accelerate cargo handling and improve cargo handling quality, Yury Matvienko, NCSP Director General said.
