RS suspends interaction with Russian Register
From April 9, 2012, Classification society Russian Maritime Register of Shipping suspended interaction with the Certification Association Russian Register, which is not among the organizations acknowledged by RS, the society’s press center informs.
According to Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, the applications of RS customers indicative of insufficient awareness of partners and potential customers have become more frequent.
RS independently provides services through its network of representative offices all over Russia and post-Soviet territory.
RS provides certification of management systems (ISO 9000, ISO 14000, OHSAS 18001, ISO 22000, ISO 50001, etc.); certification within the GOST R certification system and under RF technical regulations; RS voluntary certification system.
Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) was founded in 1913. As one of the world's leading classification societies, RS provides classification and technical survey services and is actively involved in certification of products, production and services, as well as of management systems within the Russian and international certification systems. From 1985, RS has been issuing regulations for classification and construction of gas carriers.
