Agreement between Russian Railways, Tatravagonka and TransContainer signed in Bratislava
During a meeting in Bratislava on 4 April 2013, Vladimir Yakunin, President of Russian Railways, and heads of the Company's representations abroad signed an agreement between Russian Railways, JSC Tatravagonka and JSC TransContainer on scientific and technical cooperation to develop, manufacture and test high-speed platforms mounted on die-welded bogies, RZD says in its press release.
The document was signed by Valentin Gapanovich, Senior Vice President of Russian Railways, Alexej Beljajev, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Tatravagonka, and Pyotr Baskakov, Managing Director of TransContainer.
Design documentation, production and testing the bogies with an axial load of 25 tons and the high-speed wagon platforms will be carried out in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations of the Russian Federation. A priority for all the parties will be using Russian components.
A working group will be set up to implement the agreement.
