UASC to launch 3 new transpacific services AWN1/ AWS1/ AWS2
United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) announced its plan to launch 3 Transpacific services covering both Pacific South West (PSW) & Pacific North West (PNW), said in the company's press release.
UASC will be launching 3 new Transpacific services in cooperation with CSCL.
UASC will be a vessel provider in CSCL’s existing Asia to Pacific North West service (ANW1) as of mid May 2013, through the deployment of 2 x 4,250 TEU vessels on that service. UASC will market this service as AWN1.
CSCL and UASC will also be introducing a joint South China to Pacific South West service where each of the partners will deploy 3 x 4,250 TEU vessels. UASC will market this service as AWS1.
Another participation for UASC will be on the CSCL existing Central & North China and Korea to Pacific South West service (AAC1). UASC will market this service as AWS2.
With the above, UASC will offer a comprehensive coverage of Asia to respectively Pacific South and North West along with a number of inland points all combined with some of the most competitive transit times on the market. Thus UASC will be in a position to meet its Customers’ requirements for an extensive geographical coverage of the Asian region as well as of the US West Coast, including inland points in the US.
The port rotation for the above mentioned services will be as follows:
AWN1: Nansha, Hong Kong, Yantian, Ningbo, Shanghai, Pusan, Seattle, Vancouver, Nansha.
AWS1: Nansha, Yantian, Xiamen, Los Angeles, Nansha.
AWS2: Qingdao, Lianyungang, Shanghai, Ningbo, Pusan, Los Angeles, Oakland, Qingdao.
The inland points in the US will include Dallas, Houston, Memphis, Atlanta, Chicago, St. Louis, Detroit, Cleveland, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Kansas City.
UASC will also offer connectivity to/from the Middle East through transshipment in Asia.
UASC’s existing Asia to United States East Coast service network via respectively the Panama and Suez Canal will remain unchanged whereby UASC will be offering a total of 7 weekly sailings between Asia and the US West and East Coast.
