Tenth dry cargo carrier of project RSD49 for NWSC keel-laid at Nevsky Shipyard
On March 28, 2013, Nevsky Shipyard LLC laid down the keel of the last dry cargo carrier in the series of ten 7,150-dwt river-sea going vessels of project RSD49 (construction number 410), for North -Western Shipping Company OJSC, the shipyard says in its press release.
The project has been designed by Marine Engineering Bureau-Design-SPb CJSC.
Nevsky Shipyard LLC - one of the oldest enterprises of water transport in the northwest of Russia, is situated 40 km away from Saint Petersburg, in Shliesselburg. It started shipbuilding in 1952. The Shipyard includes shipbuilding, ship repair and maintenance works. The Shipyard’s slipway allows to lift on a shore and to lower vessels up to 140 meters long and dock weight of about 3,000 tonnes.
