Novorossiysk-Sochi ferry link to service 1.2 mln t of cargo in 2013
The volume of cargo transportation by Novorossiysk-Sochi ferry link will make 1.2 mln t in 2013. According to IAA PortNews journalist, this was announced by Executive Director of FSUE Rosmorport Andrey Lavrishchev at the meeting of RF Government Marine Board in Novorossiysk.
It is similar to the level of 2012.
In continuation of the Olympic-related discussion, Lavrishchev noted that the cargo port at Mzymta river ensured smooth sustainable deliveries of cargo for Olympic construction sites in 2011, when the highway for long vehicles was closed.
This ferry line was launched on November 1, 2011 for maritime transportation of outsized and heavy vehicles loaded with cargo destined for implementation of the state program aimed at construction of Olympic facilities and development of Sochi as a mountain climate resort, approved by the decree of RF Government.
