Yuriy Vaskov headed Seaports Coordinating Council of Ukraine
At the meeting between the heads of state sea ports of Ukraine, private operating companies of port business, trade union leaders and leading experts of international consulting companies and law firms signed a "Memorandum of partnership and cooperation", press service of Odessa port informs. A meeting, which preceded the signing of the Memorandum, was held with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Dmitriy Demidovich.
"Memorandum on partnership and cooperation" foresees the production of a single consolidated solutions to achieve the following goals:
- Implementation of the state strategy of Ukrainian seaports development;
- Formation of high-quality regulatory basis of maritime enterprises reform, improving the competitiveness of domestic port complex on the international market;
- Creating conditions for the inflow of private investments into the marine industry;
- Ensuring of a high social standards for workers of the industry, etc.
After the signing of the Memorandum participants established an advisory body - the Ukrainian Seaport Coordinating Council. This association will enable all participants of the process of seaports reforming, such as state and private business, investors and trade unions, as mouthpieces of the interests of labor collectives. to participate in the implementation of a strategy for the development of each specific port ...
Yuriy Vaskov was elected the Chairman of the Presidium of the Coordinating Council during a meeting in Odessa on March 28. His deputy became Yuriy Gubankov the General Director of "Brooklyn-Kiev" and Andy Kuzich the Business Development Director of Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLC.
