Harbour Masters of Russia’s largest seaports, heads of basin administrations, hold their positions under extended contracts
Harbour Masters of Russia’s largest seaports, heads of basin administrations (St. Petersburg – Peotr Parinov, Novorossiysk – Vladimir Yerygin, Vladivostok – Aleksandr Kuvshinov) will hold their positions under contracts extended for one year from April 1, 2013, IAA PortNews journalist learnt at the international exhibition CITL in Paris from Aleksandr Davydenko, head of RF Federal Marine and River Transport Agency.
“As we continue reforming seaports’ administrations, it was proposed to sign the contracts with the heads of basin administrations for only a year, Aleksandr Davydenko explained. – In the future, we count on changes in the legislation according to which the port administrations of the basins will be headed by a separate official, not the Harbour Master. In this case, the acting Harbour Masters of the basins may be appointed the heads of the corresponding basin administrations with Harbour Masters for each separate port of a basin”.
