Krylov State Research Center will create experimental model of auxiliary power installation
Competition committee of RF Ministry of Industry and Trade has acknowledged Central scientific research institute of naval electrical engineering and technology (branch of Krylov State Research Center) the winner in the competition for construction of an experimental model of an auxiliary power installation based on fuel-cell battery with proton-exchange membrane for vessels meeting advanced ecological requirements.
10 kW model developed in Russia will be created within the framework of a technological line of the Federal Special-Purpose Program “Development of Civil Marine Facilities, 2009-2016”.
Krylov State Research Center was set up in 1894 as Russia’s first model testing basin in the central part of St. Petersburg. It is a scientific research organization of the national shipbuilding sector focused on conceptual and workshop designs of naval ships, merchant vessels and offshore structures.
