Hapag-Lloyd to launch the Finland Express Service in April 2013
Hapag-Lloyd will launch the Finland Express (FIX), a new complementary service, directly connecting German Hubs with ports in the Gulf of Finland as well as Gulf of Bothnia, said in the company's press release.
This fixed day weekly service will start in April 2013, covering following port rotation:
Bremerhaven • Hamburg • St. Petersburg • Kotka • Rauma • Gaevle • Bremerhaven
(An additional call at Ust-Luga is currently under consideration)
The FIX service will be operated with two vessels with first sailings as follows:
MV Anina ets Hamburg April 2, 2013
MV Hanse Confidence ets Bremerhaven April 8, 2013
In combination with the Russia Express (REX), the FIX will provide a second, weekly sailing to and from Russian as well as Finnish main ports.
