Prosecutor's Office finds faults in border crossing procedure at Novorossiysk port
Southern Transport Prosecutor's Office probing the Novorossiysk port border crossing point operation has found some discrepancies with the requirements of federal law in Technological scheme of the border crossing, the Prosecutor’s Office said.
The law enforcement agency established that the border crossing procedure at the port does not fully comply with federal regulations because it does not ensure proper implementation of the "single window" principle and ambiguously defines the sequence and place of state control measures, the report said.
The revealed breaches may violate the rights of business entities, crossing the border, and may lead to corruption practices.
To bring the Border crossing technological scheme in line with the requirements of federal law, the Southern Transport Prosecutor’s Office lodged a protest, which is scheduled for consideration at the next meeting of the Coordinating council of marine checkpoints of Novorossiysk, Gelendzhik and Anapa.
