Transport Week 2013 will take place on 5th - 7th March 2013 in Gdańsk
Market players, investors and specialists from the field of transport industry will meet during the forthcoming event which will take place on 5th - 7th March 2013 in Gdańsk, in the Polish Baltic Philharmonic. Transport Week 2013 is filled in with events such as: LNG Conference, Baltic Container Conference, Intermodal Conference, Deregulation Panel, Offshore Wind Farms Panel and Gala Dinner.
Transport Week 2013 presents an opportunity to extend knowledge about the transport market and establish valuable business contacts. Moreover it, also contributes to the integration of representatives from different sectors of the transport industry. The event is designed for the key representatives from the transport market. Each year the organizers ensure that the conference reflects topics of key interest to all potential delegates and guarantee successful line-up of speakers from various transport sectors. The event is directed towards sea ports, maritime organizations and person related to the transport sector.
Previous editions of Transport Week were filled in conferences and discussion panels concerning the ferry, container, intermodal and wind energy markets. This year the Transport Week agenda will, i.e. on the following problems:
LNG Conference: is organized in cooperation with LNG in Baltic Sea Ports Project co-financed by the European Union Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T). During the meeting, the guests will be talking on topic such: LNG in Baltic Sea Ports, LNG as a fuel for transport, LNG pricing, trading and financing - view point from consulting company, Distributing LNG in Europe and LNG demand from shipping.
Baltic Container Conference: is a prestigious event which will be held for the 7th time, and will gather key representatives from transport sector from all over Europe. During this edition speakers from – Ministry of Transport, Construction and Maritime Economy, The Mayor of the city Gdansk, representatives of international organizations ESPO (European Sea Ports Organizations) and BPO (Baltic Ports Organizations) and delegations from DCT Gdansk, Maersk Line, Port of Koper will present their papers. Challenges and opportunities for shipping lines, Global, European and regional container markets; Situation in the Russian container market, Polish seaports, the North Sea and the Adriatic will be discussed;
On the third day will take place the Intermodal Conference where topics such as intermodal in Europe; integration of the logistic chain; Potential for Baltic-Adriatic Corridor, Intermodal in Poland, Russia and Ukraine will be presented. Special guests invited to the event are representatives from Port of Amsterdam, Trieste Marine Terminal and Euroterminal Slawkow.
In addition to the three above-mentioned conferences there will also be a noteworthy, three-day open discussion panels – Offshore Wind Energy Panel, organized in cooperation with Polish Offshore Wind Energy Society and Deregulation Panel about competitiveness Polish seaports, Container clearance procedures, VAT calculation procedures and fiscal representation. There will be also Stakeholders Platform, LNG in the Baltic Sea Port Internal Meeting and Gala Dinner during BTJ – Media Partner will present for the second time the Baltic Trendsetters Club Certificates – awarded to those who change the Baltic Sea region’s transport market with exceptional boldness, persistence and creativity. There will be also possibility to visit the exhibition area during the entire event.
Transport Week will shown in a nutshell how Europe is managing its transport challenges, which will also provide good insight into its prospects for the future.
